[Qgis-user] FOSSGIS 2019 - Call for Papers - Einreichung ab sofort möglich

[Konferenzorganisation]

Liebe FOSSGIS-Interessierte,

Die Vorbereitungen für die FOSSGIS-Konferenz 2019 in Dresden laufen. Der 
Call for Papers startet. Die Konferenz findet vom 13. bis 16. März 2019 
an der Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden statt. Sponsoren 
und Aussteller sind willkommen.


Zur größten deutschsprachigen Anwenderkonferenz für freie 
Geoinformationssysteme und freie Geodaten, die zum 13. Mal veranstaltet 
wird, erwarten die Organisatoren 400 Teilnehmer. Veranstalter der 
Konferenz sind der gemeinnützige FOSSGIS e.V., die 
OpenStreetMap-Community und die HTW Dresden. Veranstaltungsort ist das 
Zentralgebäude der HTW Dresden am Friedrich-List-Platz 1.


Die Konferenz ist die Plattform für neue Ideen, Projekte und 
Erfahrungsberichte. Mit ihr möchten wir die Verbreitung von freier und 
Open-Source-Software für Geoinformationssysteme vorantreiben.


Von Mittwoch, den 13. März bis zum Freitag, den 15. März findet die 
FOSSGIS-Konferenz mit Vorträgen über freie GIS-Software und 
OpenStreetMap statt. An diesen drei Tagen treffen sich Anwender und 
Entwickler zum gemeinsamen Austausch über Anwendungs- und 
Arbeitsmöglichkeiten und diskutieren neueste Entwicklungen. Die 
gleichzeitig stattfindende Firmen- und Projektausstellung ermöglicht 
einen direkten Kontakt zu professionellen Dienstleistern.


Samstag, der 16. März steht im Zeichen des OpenStreetMap-Projekts. An 
diesem Tag findet mit dem „OSM-Samstag“ eine Unkonferenz der 
deutschsprachigen OpenStreetMap-Community statt. Schwerpunkt sind 
längere Vorträge und Diskussionsrunden zu  den aktuellen Themen im 
OpenStreetMap-Projekt.

Der Call for Papers ist eröffnet und läuft bis zum 9. November 2018. 
Einreichung unter: https://fossgis-konferenz.de/2019/callforpapers/


Forscher, Entwickler und Anwender sowie Mitwirkende des 
OpenStreetMap-Projekts können einen Vortrag oder Workshop einreichen. Es 
werden Vorträge mit Neuigkeitswert sowie solche gesucht, die spannende 
Themen behandeln oder anregende Diskussionen auslösen. Thema der 
Konferenz sind freie Geodaten (insbesondere, aber nicht nur, 
OpenStreetMap), Open Data und freie GIS-Software.


Es gibt folgende Veranstaltungstypen:

20 Minuten lange Vorträge machen den Hauptteil aus. Diese finden am 
Mittwochnachmittag, Donnerstag und Freitagvormittag statt. An diese 
Vorträge schließt sich eine fünf Minuten lange Fragerunde an.
Parallel zu den Vorträgen finden 90 Minuten lange Workshops statt. 
Die Teilnahme am Workshop ist kostenpflichtig, die Teilnehmerzahl 
begrenzt. Workshops mit zwei Leitern sind möglich, insbesondere, wenn 
der Workshop stark nachgefragt ist. Diese finden am Mittwochnachmittag, 
Donnerstag und Freitagvormittag statt.
5 Minuten lange Lightning Talks sind die Gelegenheit, neue Ideen und 
neue Software in Kürze zu präsentieren.


Neu im Programm sind die beiden folgenden Veranstaltungstypen:

60 Minuten lange „Demo-Sessions“ sind für die intensive Vorführung 
freier GIS-Software vorgesehen, in der Redner die Benutzung einer 
Software zeigen. Die Demo-Sessions zeichnen sich durch eine höhere 
inhaltliche Tiefe gegenüber Workshops und 20-Minuten-Vorträgen aus, weil 
sie in Hörsälen statt in Computerpools stattfinden und die Teilnehmer 
die Schritte nicht in Echtzeit an ihren Computern nachvollziehen können.
40 Minuten lange Vorträge zu OpenStreetMap-Themen, an die sich 
jeweils eine 20 Minuten lange Fragerunde anschließt. Sie sind für 
kontroverse Themen der OpenStreetMap-Community vorgesehen.


Unserer Befragung zufolge interessieren sich unsere Teilnehmer aus dem 
GIS-Sektor insbesondere für folgende Themen: Docker, Angular2, Erste 
Schritte in Python, GeoPackage, QGIS für Fortgeschrittene, 
QGIS-3-Plugins, GeoNetwork, Einführung in GeoServer, GeoTools und Java 
Topology Suite (JTS), pgRouting, INSPIRE-Dienste, ATOM-Feeds, 
Big-Data-Geo-Frameworks, Big-Data-Analyse in R, SpatiaLite. Sehen Sie 
diese Auflistung bitte als Anregung.
Werden Sie Teil der Konferenz und bewerben Sie sich jetzt mit einem 
Vortrag oder Workshop. Fragen zum Call for Papers beantworten

Die Programmplanung findet im Rahmen des 11. FOSSGIS Hacking vom 23. bis 
25. November 2018 im Linuxhotel in Essen statt. Daher wird es keine 
Verlängerung des Call for Papers geben. Das detaillierte Programm wird 
im Dezember 2018 bekannt gegeben werden, gleichzeitig wird die Anmeldung 
eröffnet werden.

Communityticket als Eintrittskarte zu lösen, selbstverständlich freuen

By the way, python-qgis got installed but cannot function due to incorrect

Looks like you have an PyQt5 installed in your home directory that requires Qt
5.10 while bionic has Qt 5.9.

Hi Thomas,

Does it work now?

It might also be a different issue. It might be an authentication issue. 
If you used authentication manager and don't store the login and 
password in the QGIS project file, there may be issues. In that case you 
also have to do something (I don't know exactly what) to enable 
authentication manager on QGIS server to read the credentials. I also 
wonder how to handle such cases. For that reason, I still store the 
login name and password in the qgs project files, instead of using the 
authentication manager.


If this is the case, maybe Alessandro can help?

Hi Lewis, 
thanks for raising the issue here. The performance of QGIS server rendering
is a long standing work in the QGIS community. We have been working recently
on a test platform that helps in driving development by checking rendering
performances every night at http://test.qgis.org/perf_test/

The performance of QGIS server are conditioned by a lot of factors, and we
are currently investigating what could have caused some slower results for
lines and polygons, and what could explain a slower server than the desktop. 

You can now take benefit of the multithread rendering that will speed up a
lot if you have available cores. 

Good news from today, we might have found a really simple explanation for
one issue. We still have to issue a Pull Request to fix it, and check that
it works in all contexts. 

Could you precise what differences you see, give some metrics before/after,
a description of your datasets, etc...?

assumo quindi che hai dati sparsi per il mondo intero.
la proiezione utm risolve il problema della proiezione di una superficie 
ellissoidica su una piana per fusi di ampiezza 6 gradi di longitudine. In 
questo ambito le distorsioni ai margine del fuso sono "accettabili".
Il risultato è che dati appartenenti a fusi contigui non sono accostabili.
Impossibile ottenere un piano cartesiano (tale è il piano di Gauss della 
proiezione UTM) per il globo intero. Sarebbe come aver scoperto il moto 
perpetuo :-)

Se vuoi semplicemente salvare un layer in un CRS diverso da WGS84 
lat-lon, in QGIS basta che clicchi col tasto destro sul layer, export, 
save as, e come CRS scegli ad esempio il WGS84 Pseudo Mercator EPSG:3857

non riesco a capire cosa vuoi fare,
che significa convertire dei punti che hanno latitudine e longitudine in x e
y?

Hi!

Yes, I did that. The environment variable PGSYSCONFDIR is set also on the 
server machine, it points to the same connection file and it works: QGIS on the 
server pc can load layers with this service parameter.

That's why I expected my (bundeled) QGIS server to do the same and use the pg 
service within the wms, but it gives only an empty wms, named like the .qgs, 
without the actual layers.
I'm using QGIS 2.18.23 here, maybe it's a bug?

Salve a tutti. Ho un problema con Qfield. Ho fatto un rilievo su campo con

You should to define environment variables to use pg_service.conf in server
too.
Of course, the service should to use tha same name.

Test without define connection to database using "service", therefore write
host/port/databse/user& password to confirm that the connection it's ok.

I wonder if/how the QGIS server (2.18) is able to use PostgeSQL service 
connection files [1]. 

I have a project file with postgis layers, that are connected via the service 
parameter (instead of hostname/port...). These are defined in pg_service.conf 
and work.

When I serve this project with QGIS server 2.18 as wms, connecting the wms (in 
QGIS desktop) works, but it does not contain any layers.

A WMS made from the same project and datasource but with full database 
credentials works als usual.

Thanks for any hint, maybe I just miss something.

[Qgis-user] How to refresh image in python QGIS 3

Hi,

I have the following code:



For some reason the image always shows the memlayer without transparancy so
the underlaying buildings are not visible. Later in the code a word document
is generated and when I close this document I see the memlayer as it should
be. The image I save, and that I use in the document is wrong as it is not
transparent.

Any advice?

Come sistema di riferimento delle coordinate uso:

SR selezionato EPSG:4326, WGS84

Ho compreso di dover usare l'UTM ma non riesco a trovarne uno che riguarda
tutte le zone del mondo.

Che cosa mi consigliate per effettuare questa conversione?
Esistono altri modi?
