[Qgis-user] shape to wfs

I need to publish shp-files in web-based map. (not QGIS-based). For that I need to give my shapefiles in WMS 1.1.1 1.3.0 or WMTS 1.0.0 or WFS 1.1.0. How it can be done if I use QGIS 2.0? ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org

Hi Simo, For publishing shape files as WMS, WMTS or WFS you need a server - no way to do it with QGIS desktop. You can use QGIS server to do it, or UMN Mapserver or Geoserver. If you go with QGIS server, you can use the QGIS server tutorial (Google for it to find it quickly). If you use one of

Hi, I have no idea what was possible with version 1.8. You are right, in a newer QGIS release this is certainly possible. Why can't you upgrade or do the project on a laptop of your own? If you can't make it to work with the ellipse marker you may try using an SVG marker. You can create the SVG
