When I do "save as gpx", it creates a gpx file with waypoints only,
although I force route and track. Besides other non-gpx schema columns all
relavant gpx columns exist based on a attribute table merge of a 'gpx to
point shapefile' layer and 'custom point shapefile' layer.

I have some incomplete gps recordings. For whatever reason the tracks
weren't recorded all way long, there are some gaps. I could easily
rebuild/repair them by means of satellite images if I knew how to do that
