Hi,
To complete Alexandre's answer, at the bottom left of attribute table dialog,
you may choose the option column filter or something like that (sorry I don't
have QGis right now) and write your text in the Edit field that appears.
Validate.
This option filters your attribute table to only

Hello,
there seems to be a problem with Creating scripts and running them from the
toolbox: Output into a file didn't work:
the tag output file produces an error and the Python script doesn't load.
Is it a bug?

Hi,
This symbol library seems something that I, perhaps others, would find useful
in QGIS.
Does anyone have any idea how this could be imported into QGIS?

Wannes,
You should check your snapping settings in Settings - Snapping. You might
have it set to map units which means as you zoom out it becomes smaller
because it's using real distance vs pixels which are constant.

Hi Brent,
I don't see a link where to download these symbols. In what format are
the symbols available?
QGIS can consume SVG symbols (individual files, can be multi-colored) or
font symbols (only one color per symbol, but color can be easily chosen).
If the symbols are in a font, you can
Hi,
Does anyone knows a workaround that keeps feature properties of a dxf-file?
Specifically, I have isolines with a property elevation that is to keep for
labeling purpose in the map. Dxf2shp plugin, as well as Grass v.in.dxf and Saga
dxf modules seem not to provide this functionality.
Thank

You should have at least the following algorithms (all under the QGIS
algorithms/vector creation tools group):
Random points in extent
Random points in layer bounds
random points in polygons(fixed)
random points in polygons(variable)
Hope this helps

Hi,
It has been a while since I used QGIS so about 2 weeks ago I installed

days I've been working on a shapefile. Yesterday morning I try to
continue, add feature works fine, but when I zoom in and try to adjust

I hope I got the right list to put my questions on els eplease tell me!
I just started to work with QGIS 2.6.1 and opened raster-data (a .tif-file)
as a new layer. This worked, but the referencing information included

Helllo abhijeet,
To hide certain columns you need to go to the layer properties - fields
tab. Then, for each of the desired fields, you can set the Edit Widget as
Hidden.
To sort the attribute table by an especific column, all you need to do is
click over the column name. First click will sort
thanks Alexander, this is helpful. one more thing though, about my 2nd

by name like names like 'abc' only.
result should be: all the names having character 'abc' should display.

In that case, you need to use an expression to select the desired rows.
An expression like this will probably work:
Name_column LIKE 'abc%'
After this you can click on the bottom left button and choose Show
selected features only.
If you want to make it more permanent (i.e., not dependent of
