That message is not the problem with the buffer, it is another problem. You have a model that includes a SAGA algorithm (it is an example model), and you probably do not have SAGA installed so it complains and it writes it to the log. You problem description should be in the SEXTANTE log, but in

It seems that you have selected use only selected features, but there is no selection. I really want to get rid of those use selected feature fields...I do not think it is a good idea to have that at algorithm-level, but they are inheriteed from the original ftools code. try setting that to

Michal I see you are running the latest version that I updated a couple of days ago. That algorithm had a bug in the previous version, that added features twice. Also, it was very slow, and I added some improvements, but did not finish it. I plan to fix that and commit it by the end of the day.

Just a quick remark about selection. If you use the most recent versino of SEXTANTE, all algorithms, whether they are native or rely in another application, are aware of the selection in the input layers. In the case of ftools algorithms, they do not have the use selected features option anymore
