Executing R CMD BATCH in the shell produces nothing on my system (ubuntu
with R including its development packages). Asking for the exit code of the
command with echo $? I get 1 meaning failure.
I guess that this trick was not a good one to test if R is intalled,
since I expected the output

You should have no problem just renaming those algorithms. The only
problem will be if you were using some of the ftools algorithms that
had the Use only selected features option, since now that is a
global option and not a parameter of some algorithms.

A quick suggestion about how to do this with SEXTANTE:
- create a model with the following steps:
- select points in polygon
- create voronoi polygons (it will use only the selected points)
- clip the polygons layer with the voronoi polygons

If you use the most recent versino of SEXTANTE, all algorithms,
whether they are native or rely in another application, are aware of
the selection in the input layers. In the case of ftools algorithms,
they do not have the use selected features option anymore
Could you post here the whole code of the SEXTANTE R script you have written?
