It would actually be a SQL or Oracle DBMS connection, whichever your SDE is

I have a polygon table in a SpatiaLite db that has three fields defined as
nvarchar. These are visible in QspatiaLite (plugin) and in the spatialite_gui
(application), but are absent when the attribute table of the layer is viewed
in QGIS and are not present under the

Hey Andreas,
On the digitizing toolbar, try "Split Parts" instead of "Split Features" on
multipart polygons.

If you load in the file geodatabase feature class, does QGIS see the correct
values? If so, is there any reason not to edit it as a file geodatabase in QGIS?

Hey Tyler,
I haven't seen a response on this one yet; do you have a solution? I work a lot
with file geodatabases in QGIS. I'm currently running 2.16, but don't remember
ever having a problem in 2.14 (Win 7 SP 1 x64).
Can you respond to the following questions for more clarity?

That's interesting Thomas. Hadn't really noticed that before, but when I add in
feature classes in the same manner, I can see the OBJECTID for some but not
others. Seems random at the moment...

Hey Randy,
I get the same on Win7 x64, however, since I have to choose the "All files (*)"
option to even see my geopackage, I'm guessing this dialog is .sqlite/.db
specific. I can add my .gpkg just fine through the Add Vector Layer button of
the same menu.

I've been using ArcGIS Pro since its Beta. Randal is right. You can not run it
standalone and you must have an ArcGIS Online subscription to even open it. If
this is the new Desktop (which I agree that's the direction Esri is moving),
those restrictions will have to go away for their user
Hello everyone,
I am handed a file geodatabase (fGDB) on a weekly basis that is created in
ArcGIS 10.2, but is saved as a backward-compatible 9.3 fGDB before delivery (I
am not the only recipient). I'm not sure that the ArcGIS version matters, just

was missing anything. I will continue to use the DB Manager in conjunction with
other tools.

Hey Joseph,
SpatiaLite (spatial SQLite database) is an open-source counterpart to the file
geodatabase. I use it in tandem with file geodatabases as well as the
geopackage format. Esri also has started to support both formats, so it's easy
to move data between them.
Have a look here:
I believe Nathan Woodrow had a swap plugin at one time. Not sure if it is
