Recently I implemented an 'XY to Line' function in the ShapeTools plugin. This has been requested several times and I needed it so I implemented it. See http://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/shapetools/ XY to Line is similar to the ArcGIS tool with the same name.

Many processing tools are duplicates. For example, If I filter for "buffer" I find 13 results in QGIS, GDAL, SAGA and GRASS libraries. Since these last 3 are external projects, QGIS cannot control which tools are in there. And why should "somebody at QGIS" choose for you and everybody else

Yes, I know this one, but it's way too simple for advanced cartography. Actually, the substitution panel needs regex or expressions to give it more control. In German context, you don't want to replace all "straße" to "str.". The check for a whole word is not enough. I have done lots if

Hi All, I'm attempting to visualize the data contained in a XTF file in QGIS (OGR provider). I'm using these data [1], specifically the Lake polygon layer, which has 3 features. QGIS displays the geometries but cannot distinguish among features, i.e., if I select one, all 3 lakes are selected.
