Selecting the GRASS GISBASE inside GRASS.app is tricky. First, before running Qgis, right-click GRASS.app and Show Package Contents. Now command (apple)-option drag the Contents folder from there to your desktop. Now you can start Qgis and when asked for GISBASE, navigate into the GRASS
