I am currently replacing my 10 year old desktop and am using the situation to reassess the programs I use to go online. I would be grateful for any suggestions people could have about email programs. In particular I need a program with its own secure address book. My problem is that btinternet

Hi Geoff, Open Source solution should be the right solution. I use and develop around owncloud (http://owncloud.org/) as always use more than one computer (Laptop, Desktop, SmartPhone). But this need you get your own server. For PC stand alone solution, you may dig using ThunderBird as it should

Hi, So you need a standalone mail prog. Thunderbird is fine, especially if you want to mix Linux Windows. For a windows only version, you could check out Pegasus. You don't specify what a secure address book is. Do you mean it is only kept on your machine, or do you mean it is only kept on
