That's not specific to maildirmake: *all* commands have to be:
1) specified with an absolute pathname (/var/qmail/bin/maildirmake),
2

Is . or ~qmail/bin (?) in your path? In other words, would
./maildirmake or /var/qmail/bin/maildirmake have worked?

I ve got checkpassword working.. however I tried to telnet on 110 and
login as a phony pop client. I get message this user has no $HOME/
Maildir.. I look in /home/user and Maildir is there..
i tried makemaildir but I got responce command does not exist.
I was in ~qmail/bin.. and I see it there..
