I'm interested in purchasing QControl software for use on our mail
server. Can someone tell me about there experience with it? Also I
can't find the licensing terms any where, like if we move our mail
server to a new machine, will the license come with it? Or if we setup
a cluster do we need it
If for nothing else, it's great for reading the logs right from the web
page. I was using Splunk before and that's a huge memory hog for such a
small need for me.
I was also impressed that I could change the tcp.smtp control file and it
even did the cdb afterwards.
Plus, you can't beat the

Hello. I have searched this list and have found several issues like the
one I am experiencing. I am running qtp with very good success for
several months. For some reason, this morning, no emails could be sent
out. I tracked it down to the blacklist file. I am using qtp-menu to set
the level. If
I agree with Eric. I got away from dnsbl.org a couple years ago. They
were just flat wrong and slow way too often. I now only use
zen.spamhaus.org and it seems to be very up to date and I don't recall
ever having a slowness problem.
Keep in mind, the more RBL's you have the slower the process

I agree with Phil. ;) When it comes to RBLs, more isn't necessarily
better. Fewer 'choice' ones is best.
That being said, you might be interested to know that with spamdyke, all
of the RBLs are checked concurrently, not serially. This improves
performance when using multiple RBLs. Even so,
Hey Jake,
thanks for getting back so soon. I actually composed the message
yesterday but didn't send it until today. I see now that there are
others having the same issue. Sorry. I tried just removing -r
cbl.abuseat.org from the list, but mail failed yesterday. I must have

I've dealt with this may times. the best way is to use the find
command. I use this by manually going into the spam folder and running
a small script. I'll dig up the script in a few minutes but its
basically find . 'sudo vpopmail -H --spam []' just be sure and run in
it in the directory you
The script does use the find command, Dan. There was a bug in it though
that prevented it's proper use (the variable containing the list of
files was errantly quoted, so the rm command was still being passed all
names at once). The script has been fixed, and was checked into the qtp
repo about
