Subject: Re: [qmailtoaster] RELEASE PACKAGE: qmail-toaster,
ucspi-tcp-toaster, simscan-toaster, control-panel-toaster

Why ucspi-tcp-toaster version with limit patch is not on devel site?
Is it unstable for now or something else?

Greetings,

I have finally moved the packages from devel to stable. The only
package remaining in devel is the ClamAV. This is not due to the
package being insecure or untrustworthy, but more because it is a
Release Candidate. Once ClamAV 0.90 is released, I will make that the
new stable package fairly quickly.

Thanks,
Erik

What does your /var/qmail/control/blacklists look like? It's supposed to
be in this format:

-r zen.spamhaus.org -r list.dsbl.org
Also, do not edit this file on a Windows machine and then move it to
your Linux machine.

smime.p7s
Description: S/MIME Cryptographic Signature

check your /var/log/qmail/send/current file, see what it says in
there.. Maybe do a qmailctl doqueue first to force the queue to try to
send them again first, then hopefully you'll see some errors on the
send/current file.

Sorry to hear that. Sambucol (black elderberry extract) works for me. It's

definitely does the job. It's a good preventative measure too.

Re: [qmailtoaster] copying users/domains on a different server with different IP

2007-01-29 Thread Warren (mailing lists)

Also, what are you going to rsync? MySQLs data dir? Ok, that will do in
case you store tables in MyISAM tablespace, but will not work in case of
InnoDB. Also, rsyncing MyISAMi tables 'on the fly' in not officially
supported method by MySQL.Net, and thus it might lead to unpredictable
consequences like loosing part of users, corrupted tables on slave
server, etc. I think that it's wiser to use officially supported methods
of MySQL database replications instead of simple rsync.

The MyISAM files (vpopmail used MyISAM) are so small and written to so
infrequently that rsync will work fine. The files in question are only
changed when you do something to a user, alias or a domain, such as add
or delete. The tables are merely used for lookups the rest of the time
and as such stay static.

I would not recommend rsync as a day-to-day backup strategy for your
normal dynamic database, but given how static these tables tend to be,
it should be fine.

Could someone pls tell me wat the above queue mean ???

These are doublebounces. qmail-send sets origin envelop address for
doublebounces to [EMAIL PROTECTED] address. I suppose one of the user accounts on
your system is out of quota, and that's the reason it generates a lot of
bounces.

Agreed. However, I can hardly see why not to use MySQL buildin

I solve problem, but it's was close to disaster :(
major telecom operator from today refuse accept mail delivery from

I made mistake, bacuse i add new virtual interface with new IP, and
my reverse smtp dns was gone (wrong) :(

Please can some explain to me, on what rule SMTP choose interface for

on the send/current file.

AFAIK, it chooses the LAST available interface on the system (the last
one ifconfig shows). This behavior is something I dislike and I'm
thinking about implementing a patch allowing manual selection of
outgoing IP/port pair to send a message from for qmail-rspawn.

Do you have simscan-toaster installed?
What are the contents of /etc/tcprules.d/tcp.smtp?
Did you check the /var/log/qmail/spamd/current logfile for log entries
telling about any incoming mesasge being scanned?
Does your incoming mails that drop to your QT-hosted mailbox contain any
X-Spam-Checked: header lines?

What are the contents of /var/qmail/control/simcontrol file?

I had issues with vqadmin and the web as well. I believe the
conventional wisdom is to use the CLI for creating and the web access
for viewing.

Re: [qmailtoaster] Yahoo bulk folder and domainkeys SOLVED

Re: [qmailtoaster] Yahoo bulk seems SOLVED but Hotmail Junk PROBLEM

2007-01-29 Thread bb.
I do not think so. But plus, i did those:

SPF record
Reverse DNS
Check if IP is in black list.

Seems thats all for Yahoo, may try in other Yahoo
accounts to see results.

But for Hotmail, i reffered to:

http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/safety/technologies/senderid/default.mspx

and checked our SPF if it is ok at:

http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/safety/content/technologies/senderid/wizard/default.aspx

and emailed to HUMAN at microsoft, they wanted some
info, checked and as result they said:

Sender Score (www.senderscorecertified.com) is the
only White Listing service to which we subscribe.

and it seems we must pay hundereds of dollars per
month but i am not sure, is there anyone who solved
for free?

Re: [qmailtoaster] Yahoo bulk seems SOLVED but Hotmail Junk PROBLEM

2007-01-29 Thread Erik Espinoza

As a Hotmail user I've always felt as though the Spam goes into the
Inbox and the Good stuff is always in the Junk Folder. However, for my
domain I have two txt records:

$ host -t txt kabewm.com
kabewm.com text spf2.0/mfrom mx ip4:12.168.80.34 ip4:216.31.139.108 ~all
kabewm.com text v=spf1 mx ip4:12.168.80.34 ip4:216.31.139.108 ~all

And Hotmail doesn't Junk Mail my stuff.

[qmailtoaster] help please - problems with install

2007-01-29 Thread Richard Starkie
Hi all

I am trying to install the toaster on a CentOS box, I have followed
the instructions (as far as i can tell) from the top, and I am having
major problems with 9. Setup QmailToaster. When i run the qmailctl
stat all i get is a load of errors for each module and when i try to
log on to webmail, i get an error 111, can not connect to IMAP.

I have successfully installed the toaster on a previous occasion,
during which install i had none of these issues.

could someone please help me.

Richard
