Aleksander posted a problem with bind and COS5.4 a while back. Adding

# service named restart
fixes the problem.
There are also some lame-server messages from bind that can be

hi all
recently we had a spam attack due to a compromised user. we are planning
on a script to prevent this by having an automatic tool to monitor the
qmail queue.
if the number of emails in the queue exceeds say 100 then open every email
in the queue, track the ips and if any one is repeated
hello, list, from some time now I have serious problems with the emails
that come from my server to yahoo, these are the output queue, and some
bounce back saying that time has expired. According to Yahoo, not a bug as
it says later intenet, but the Verada is no longer to do this not to happen.

Hi
I believe I have successfully built mysql support into ezmlm-toaster but
now I need to do the same for qmailadmin-toaster.
When I run the following command to rebuild:
rpmbuild --rebuild qmailadmin-toaster-1.2.12-1.3.8.src.rpm
the ./configure record shows as:
+ ./configure --prefix=/usr

Have you implemented a whitelist with all of your vendors?
yes i did this, whenever i see a mail is with DENIED_RBL_MATCH bounce, but
tracing them through the logs is bit a pain,
What do you consider to be false positives?
Hi Rajesh,
have a look at the iptables- module recent. It logs connections on the desired
ports, counting new connections in a table and, when a threshold is reached,
blocks the concerned ip.
Consider running a script that looks at the blocked ips to resolve the problem
on the infected PC.
also in smtp/current i could see lots of TIMEOUT
