If I have correctly whitelisted the address of *@qmailtoaster.com then how can the mail from the list get marked ***SPAM *** how does it get a score of 3.6 shouldn't it start with a score of -100 ( or something like that ) by virtue of being in the /etc/mail/spamassasin/local.conf thanks

I would first use required_score 3.7 (which is what I have). That would take care of this particular message. It appears you've been training spam. Have you? If so, you'll need to train bayes with some ham. If you haven't really invested in your bayes database by training specific emails, you
