I had the problem in the past Form clients that where configuted through
.qmail- files and SQL. Removing the. qmail-files solved the behaviour.

Re: [qmailtoaster] Getting multiple copies of emails

2019-05-31 Thread Jeff Koch

Hi List

The problem seems to have dissipated. This issue started when the CPU
began reporting overheating problems. We shutdown the server and
replaced the CPU fan. For several days afterwards we began getting 10-20
copies of all emails received from outside the server. Even after
deleting them they would come back. I suspect the mail files weren't
being appended with the correct code or had an incorrect code and, as a
result, dovecot would keep sending the same emails out to the email
client. Anyway, the problem seems to have gone away but what a mess and
we had lots of customer complaints.

I've seen duplicate emails when the server is very heavily loaded. If
you had any runaway processes that were causing loads to spike, you
could get duplicates.

[qmailtoaster] Getting multiple copies of emails

2019-05-29 Thread Jeff Koch

Hi List:

All of a sudden this morning everyone using one of our QMT7 mailservers
has started getting 6,7,8 copies of each email. This is with IMAP
accounts. It seems as if the mailserver is not registering or marking
the emails that they have already been downloaded. I checked and we
don't have multiple copies on the mailserver itself - just on the email
clients that connect to it.

Any ideas ? Everything was working fine until this morning.
