we are getting messages like this
2010-03-20 11:20:15.845654500 tcpserver: status: 40/40
i changed the value of MAXDAEMONS from 40 to 60
in /etc/courier/imapd
and then stopped qmail and then restarted qmail
but still
tail -f /var/log/qmail/imap4/current | tai64nlocal
shows as such

i need to increase the no of imap connections from the default of 40 to
100 since the max no of connections is being exhausted users are facing
loging issues
question 1
is this advisable ie can courier handle the same
question 2
how do i do that. i tried to change it under

try here: # vi /etc/courier/imapd
then stop and start qmail (as a restart wouldn't pick up the changes
from what I was told).
I bumped mine up to 50 and it did not make any difference. It seemed to
me when I had 43 imapd processes running or greater, my users
experienced problems. Eric

To solve the problem of slow connections imap I was told to do the tune of
courier-imap, how do I tune to the courier-imap?
I searched in google but I have not found anything that gives an indication.

Looks like a really good topic for the videos. I

Squirrel / httpd, etc.
Currently I'm inundated by HTTPd
sessions dragging the server down. I have to reboot every couple
weeks to clear it out.
