[qmailtoaster] MX record issue
Everyone, Thanks for your help with everything. I do have a tough issue. I have some internal servers that have .local domain addresses that I can't seem to get mail from. It seems that because they don't have valid MX records, qmailtoaster is rejecting them. I was able to get mail from them by adding them to the tcp.smtp file. Is there a way around that? I'm using sendmail on these servers if that helps. [qmailtoaster] MX Record Issue
I realize that this question is not strictly on-topic, as I do not believe Toaster is specifically involved, but it does involve my successful deployment of a QMT server, and I'm hoping that someone here can at least point me in the right direction of the proper resources to troubleshoot and correct this problem. I've been in the process of setting up a second QMT, intended to operate personally for a shared group of friends, businesses, not-for- profits, etc. The server is up and running, as is QMT on the server, Apache, etc. Thus far, attempting to send email to the accounts on the server is failing with a DNS issue. Specifically, the error states that no MX record can be found for the domain. However, dig clearly shows MX records for the domains being hosted on the server. Where should I be looking/what should I be trying to troubleshoot and correct this? You may need to check and make sure that DNS has propagated. I use dnsstuff.com to check DNS records. - QmailToaster hosted by: VR Hosted http://www.vr.org - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

We could be of more help if you included the domain name and/or the dig results you're seeing. -- -Eric 'shubes' - QmailToaster hosted by: VR Hosted http://www.vr.org - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
