*I recently tried an Acucair low air loss mattress overlay from Hill-rom.
Comfortable, but unfortunately the pump is extremely loud. Can anyone
recommend an alternating pressure or low air loss mattress with a pump that
doesn't sound like a loud vacuum cleaner?*
Hi Jim,
That is great news! Way to go! You must be ready to dance a jig. When I
started working on getting my chair back in 2006, I told the supplier that
either I got a chair that actually worked to meet my needs or I would not buy a

waiting for a custom fitted back for my wheelchair. (are they just BS'ing
me about that?) Do any of you have a custom fitted back to adjust for a
twisted spine?
They haven't helped me.
If you are awake all night in too much pain to sleep, you have my deepest
sympathy. The best solution to pain

The EMC system is very sensitive system. Disconnecting the battery and
reconnecting the battery should be done by the service installer as there is a

Hello to all. Thanks for the instant replies. I trust I have the proceedure
down pat now. For Dana, I have just been introduced to the list and joined
several days ago. It is so important to have a support group to commune with,
especially when you have had none.
Reason being that
Its got to be tough living up there and not having a good support channel
where you live. Did you ever come to Chicago for evaluation and rehab or was
it all done were you are now.

Congratulations Bobbie. Did Medicare cover this wheelchair and how long did
you have your other wheelchair. Did they require of the wheelchair repairs

wheelchair company is telling me. That could be a long time. I've
