Re: [QUAD-L] acidophilus, hair loss, accidents. OH MY

2007-10-05 Thread Stacy Harim
I ordered it (acidophulus) through gnc website since I am still stuck in bed.
Thankfully I spoke with the doctor and she finally changed my antibiotic to
double strength bactrum. I've taken single strength before for uti's so I am
hoping that I am good now since I didn't have problems in the past. Its just
going to take a couple of weeks for my bowels to get back to normal. I will
still take the acidophilus until it happens. It's only been a few days so I
hope soon.

I also hope to be up soon. I was told by the agency that I will speak to the
owner Mon. bc they just got the fax from the coordinating center (waiver) so
hopefully next week. God I need my hair washed so badly. I can't wait to wash
my hair and get some sun. The vitamin D from the sunlight may help my hair
problems. I just hope the weather holds out for me.

Take a trip to the health food storeand buy some probiotics. Same as
acidophilus only more specific and supposedly more effective.

Stacy---while your having accidents, try to put an extra cover over the top of
your Roho to help extra protect it from getting into your cusion...the bed
pads hospitals use for grown ups are too large, but the hospital size for
babies is just about the right size...see if you can pick up a few or buy a
couple for when you are having bowel problems. Dan

I know that it might sound a bit silly at this point, but have you considered
taking the apple cider vinegar/ honey mix, twice a day for a week. Baseline
the PH of your urine at the beginning and at one week intervals. This mix
should not interfere with the meds you are taking, but if you have any
questions, ask your doctor.

[QUAD-L] Bugs

2007-10-05 Thread Dan
I have a SP and my primary says that with any type of artificial opening
into your bladder you'll ALWAYS have bugs growing there so it would be a
losing cause to treat them - unless they are giving you symptoms.
However, since we have so many different kinds of bugs growing the docs
just try one of the broad spectrum antibiotics. If that one doesn't
work, he tries another. So, I agree with John. Unless you're
symptomatic, don't worry about it and don't be too concerned about which
bug is causing your symptoms since there are so many growing there it
might not be the one you're thinking of that is giving you trouble.

Well all the Doctors tell us never do nothing unless symptomatic-And
that makes perfect sense, why would a person seek treatment without
symptoms-I have about 3 constant bacteria types almost always and feel
great. I only get a culture or try to get help when having bad problems.
 Thanks

KK,

I personally like my hands to curl in a fist, but with that said Otto Bock
has a couple of hand pads. There is one (seconded one down on site) that may
work. I use the 14 in. troth with a flat hand pad (top one shown).

I once used a small piece of masonite, ace bandage, and velcro to make a finger
straightener. I press my palm on the board, straighten my fingers, and strap it
down. Didn't look very professional but worked fine.
