Hi all.
I haven't been on this list that long, I was on it a long time ago but I
haven't been up to date until about a month ago. So I have missed any
discussions about dealing with chronic pain.
I have been disabled for 31 yrs. I have only been in pain for about a year. It
is in my neck,
I take the damn vicodin. I also take time release oxy's and valium. I dont get
a buzz from it but I dont feel so much joint pain.

20mg time release twice a day. without it I sweat and shake and spasm
violently. After 20 years or around there, even normal quads have bone density
equal to chalk. In the early years, often quads are encouraged to do dangerous
stretching and spend hours excersising. This wears out joints and
The past few years I've been lucky enough to have a dog. Shes a lab/pit bull
mix and she scares hell out of people. If I don't say hush girl, she will chase
folks. On walks she is not offensive unless people start yelling and her bark
always calms things down. She drew blood once from a guy
I have the same miserable symptoms and take the same pills as John. Two oxy's a
day help a great deal with spasms as well. When the pain breaks through, I
supplement them with a percocet. I'm probably decimating my liver, but I'm
wagering the liver will last as long as the rest of me. After 41

rise to the door from the sidewalk would require a 50 ft rampway. The ramp
slope must be consistent.

“Under ADA Guidelines a service dog is never allowed to attack.” I almost
agree, but my dog is legit protection trained ADA certified. While the ADA
did not “certify” her protection training, it did not keep her from being
certified. She is kept on leash if needed will stand “watch” will

I feel exactly like you. I'd rather be active then lay around in pain.
Sometimes quality beats quanity. I have blood work every 6 mos. I'd love to be
here to watch my granddaughter go to college, marry, etc. But I'm not giving up
on walks thru the park, movies, zoo, etc.
