As a precaution I alwayas keep a close eye on active (as in used regularely) 68k
machines with A-I floppy drives as they tend to die at the worst
The auto inject in my Mac Plus has withstood much anger and abuse in
former years on deadlines and of course fiddling with Systems 4.x-6.x.

put into an 040 machine that I rarely use because of lack of software.

You must have a Quadra 610, which has the later style manual-inject floppy
with the black door that covers the opening. Does your computer have what
looks like a pair of lips around the middle of the slot for the floppy
drive?
