A pile of BS is what I wittily wrote. :(

Plain text email doesn't have a option to underline so it follows that
the server strips the underline out regardless. Underlining can not be
used on these lists so we're stuck with . Anything in the past that I
have sent underlined is treated as a plain http:// link as far as the
receiver is concerned.

As these links return to me in the correct format, I have wrongly
assumed that I was doing something right. :(
Thank you to the few people who replied over the various lists.

http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/games/

the point is that a long URL will wrap for some people not matter how you
send it and also there is a rule that says that a URL like
http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/games/ should have and at each end. It is
the proper way to do it. Just because you haven't heard of problems doesn't
mean that there weren't any.
When the URL is long like some of the ones that span two or three lines it
really makes a difference. At least if there are problems in spite of the
fact that you followed the protocol it isn't your fault then. Otherwise it is
your fault as you aren't following the protocol.

MPG is an awfully vague term. Can you be more specific?

Thanks but I pulled it off the OS 7.5.3 full install image with Tome Viewer.

 From: Dan Palka [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I could never get that control panel working on non PowerPC macs. I
might be wrong though, but I just never had luck.

It is working fine on the Q630 - now serving 18 hours a day.

Despite the warning that friends don't let friends use PeeCee's, I received
a file from a friend with the suffix .mpg
QuickTime says it can't open it.
Can anything?

If it's an MPEG-encoded video, try Sparkle. If that and QuickTime don't work,
then I'm fresh out of ideas.

If it's an MP3 with the wrong suffix (ask your friend what it was originally,
BTW), then fix the suffix and try mpegdec.

Re: ADB Optical

2003-02-25 Thread Michael Emery
Dan Palka [EMAIL PROTECTED]:

Is there a such a thing as an optical ADB mouse?

A company called Mouse Systems of Fremont CA marketed a pair of optical
mice for the Mac. One of those features three buttons (two are
user-programmable methinks); and the other is my very favorite, called
the Little Mouse because it is small and cute.

These pointing devices are VERY COOL. They work with a reflective, metal
mouse pad, are long-lasting and maintenance-free, and very accurate.
Mouse Systems no longer produces these, but they do appear on eBay
occasionally. Of course, I've hoarded a couple of sets for my personal
planned obsolescence.
