Do you have access to a pc to format it again? Or perhaps a old Amiga. You can clear a partition or disk with linux installers. I cant recommend anything on the macOS but the Mandrake ppc installer has a funky formatter, maybe it can help. Nice to see Seagate techs recommend whats actually on
