Do you have access to a pc to format it again? Or perhaps a old Amiga.
You can clear a partition or disk with linux installers. I cant
recommend anything on the macOS but the Mandrake ppc installer has a
funky formatter, maybe it can help. Nice to see Seagate techs recommend

Don't know if you've looked into this, but the plug used for ADB is the same
as used in many TVs and camcorders and etc., called an S-Video plug. I'm

Mandrake comes with a formatter, though I doubt it would be useful on a
68k mac. Might be some help if you have a ppc

I and my Q650 have experienced a growing problem with an not getting connected,
or slipping out after a while ADB-port lately. Recently it became a real
problem, it doesn't work at all anymore.
Now, I could desolder it and replace it with another port from one of my other
Quadras, or
There are some Linuxes for 68k Macs though, I'm running several Quadras
and an LCIII with it. http://www.mac.linux-m68k.org . It's Debian based,
and runs quite well. My main web server is an upgraded LC475.
