Hi All
I thought that the first 2+2 was a red round headlight version which was
tested by various magazines. I believe it was scrapped by Quantum because
it had been badly damaged by the magazine's journalists.
This would make Q2-002 the oldest 2+2. A round headlight version owned by

Old age & ill health have finally persuaded me to sell my toy after 12

Thanks Jim. It suddenly started doing it, but the CVH has never been the
smoothest of engines. It gets better as the engine warms up, but the idle
revs have always been too fast ( approx. 1200 rpm) when warm

Hi All
Can anyone tell me which is the correct OBD port on a 1600 CVH EFi loom.
There appears to be two, one black & one white, both with red caps.
Also does anyone know of an interface or programme to give a readout on a
computer instead of the Gunson reader which relies on counting flashes on
Hi Glyn
I had the same problem with my H4. turned out to be tarnish on the multi
plug contacts. I cleared it by spraying WD40 on the contacts & leaving it a
few minutes to work.
If you waggle ( a technical term!) the plug you should either cure or
reproduce the fault,

Hi All
The six wheel F1 car was a TYRRELL P 34 , 1976 vintage. They had some
success driven by Jody Schecter & Patrick Depailler. The car had four
smaller front wheels to help cut drag.
The six wheeled kit car was a STARCRAFT campervan based on Cortina with an
additional chassis. I considered
Thanks for all your advice. I managed to locate a pair on ebay. I found
that the XR2i units appear to be unique, three bolt ball joint fixing. No
other wishbone seem to be compatible judging from the various compatibility
tables. I don't know why.

Hi All

units? Alternately how difficult is it to replace the existing bushes?

Hi All
I am looking for an H4 with power steering & a 1.4 engine.
I would like to swop my 1600c CHH powered H4 fitted with Ford ST 150 front

was good so it never happened)
If anyone is interested in a swop or sale, please
Hi Nigel
There were only about ten kitcars at Shugborough but lots of classic cars,
most of which seem not to have been to local shows. The weather was good so
it was an enjoyable experience. The catering seemed reasonable (compared to
Stonleigh).
However Shugborough is being taken over by

Thanks all for your help. Jim, your remarks about screened cable was
welcomed because I intend to wire the pug on the bench & solder onto the
loom using heatshrink, & routing it a better way. Since I have done my
tempory fix (pushing the bullet conectors back in tightly) the car seems to

Thanks Jim. i assumed that it would be a Ford specific part to maximise
profit!
I don't suppose you know which one it is? I'm a bit wary of removing the
origional without a replacement in case it falls apart.

Does anyone have, or know where I can get, a connector for the crankshaft
sensor on a CVH XR2i. My local Ford dealer (Acorn) who is normally magic at
sourcing obscure parts,e-bay, & breakers can't help.
