Hi Glyn I had the same problem with my H4. turned out to be tarnish on the multi plug contacts. I cleared it by spraying WD40 on the contacts & leaving it a few minutes to work. If you waggle ( a technical term!) the plug you should either cure or reproduce the fault, Regards jimt On
