Thanks for that Jim. So mine are 5.5" rims with inset 43.5mm. It's the tyre size which is critical (less so the rim width). So in theory your inset compared with mine means it's 43.5 - 35 = 8.5mm better per side, less 5mm for half of the 195-185mm tyre width, so your tyres have 3.5mm clearance

Yes, the later Fiestas had a higher offset. They also have larger diameter wheel nut/bolt seats so i hope you got some special bolts and aren't using the Mk2 Fiesta ones. Stoneleigh, i'm not sure, probably will only decide the day before depending on weather, a lot of other stuff going on at

Mine are 6" with 43.5. Made a schoolboy error there when I got them many years ago, as I thought all Fiesta wheels were same offset (these are '99 fiesta) Probably confused 43.5 with 34.5! BTW are you going to Stoneleigh? Martin - Original Message - From: "Jim Hearne"

I got the hubs bored in the machine shop at Ford Dunton and fitted Focus studs and the correct nuts for the alloys. It's surprising how few alloy wheels are available in 14" now, and they are mostly 43.5 offset. I'm working on an idea! Martin - Original Message - From: "Jim Hearne"

No, just cut a panard rod in half, shortened it a bit, welded a threaded boss into one end and a stud (probably cut from a 12.9 bolt) into a boss into the other end. And a locknut on the thread. Thread was M12 i think, but there should be no bending force on the adjuster, just stretch or

Yep, as you say just drop one end to adjust (not a real issue, as should rarely need to adjust). What width wheels/offset do you have? Martin - Original Message - From: "Jim Hearne" To: Sent: Thursday, April 20, 2017 9:27 AM
