I had success, after much trouble, getting Qubes 3.2 to install on a recent
lenovo and UEFI. I described how here:

Since I don't have two identical drives, I tried to do this:
- clone MBR and partition info
$ sudo dd if=/dev/sdc of=aem-mbr.img bs=512 count=1
- clone AEM partition
$ sudo dd if=/dev/sdc1 of=aem-partition.img bs=128K conv=noerror,sync
- copy cloned images to a new USB drive
$ sudo dd if=aem-mb

Works perfectly after you seize USB controller from USBVM (or sys-net in my
case) back to dom0, reboot and mount your AEM USB drive to /boot. It even

I have to agree with @cooloutac $ 500 for just the motherboard and a keyboard

supply, memory, housing (optional), storage, monitor, mouse to be able to
compare it slightly with a laptop.
However, the initial question was

Hello,
how can I switch keyboard layouts in a AppVM? I tried to use the XCFE menu item
to switch layouts. However, it only works for Dom0. In addition, I tried to use
xkb-switch, but without much success. Interesting about xkb-switch is the fact,
that it shows I use a US layout in the VM, whic
Hello,
I'm trying to get my new sys.net NetVM (based on the fedora-24-minimal)

After fixing Wifi I am now struggling to get my LTE card working, which
is working out of the box with the default fedora-23 sys-net.
My LTE-card is a Sierra Wireless EM7345 4G LTE card which is

IIRC it's called iwl7260-firmware or something like that.
I've tar'ed /usr/lib/firmware from my fedora-23 sys-net VM which comes
with the Qubes OS 3.2 installation.
Hi.
I'm not very glad w/ defaults provided in Qubes OS.
Are there any chances the situation 'll get fixed?

I've no real trust to https - this is reputation scheme.
I've no real trust to tor - exit nodes sniff.
I've installed new instance w/ tor as default.

Hello.
Could the team please send required image of Qubes to Purism team?
I want my certified laptop asap and currently have to buy it w/ Purism

Thanks, Andrew, I'm in business now.
The lsblk showed a new entry (xvdi) when the cd-rom was attached, but showed no
mount point. I didn't realize I needed to manually enter a command to mount it
because I haven't had to do that with USB hard drives, but I guess this should
have been obvious.
The iPad is seen on the VM though:

Solved. It seems a qubes VM manager bug to sometimes display wrong

Hi Folks,
I've created a USB VM, which works fine for standard USB drives and
keys. I've just tried connecting an iPhone 7 to it and the file manager
threw an error stating it could not access the iPhone (although it was
displayed in the locations list). Also, when I try to connect an iPad it
