Thanks for the advice. I did try to update 8 into 9deb but I didn't do it via
dom0 and I lost the template I'm pretending that 'first' install of qubes
was a trial run. =P
This will give me something to do tonight, thank you again.

You should update your template vms. fedora 23 is out of support. fedora 25
will be in support for 6 months.
in dom0,
$ sudo qubes-dom0-update qubes-template-fedora-25
debian 8 will be in support for another year. you can upgrade to 9 if you want,

Hi,
Running the command "sudo qubes-dom0-update @kde-desktop-qubes" in dom0 returns
the following error:
"Warning: Group 'kde-desktop-qubes' does not exists."
Am I doing something wrong?

(perhaps also before the upgrade), however the wifi is still not recognized, or
at least I am still not able to see the wlan0 interface using "ifconfig -a"
from the untrusted terminal and to bring it up, only eth0. No prob
