[qubes-users] Tunderbird in new anon-whonix is refusing to connect to internet
Hi, I am stuck with the following Thunderbird issue. I created new anon-whonix AppVM where I would like to have my new email account in Thunderbord, but whatever I do, I get "Could not connect to server xxx connection was refused" immediately after clicking the Get Messages. At the same time, TB can nicely connect to the network from that AppVM. Thunderbird in older anon-whonix AppVMs are connecting just ok. The settings are precisely the same in both - the old and new anon-whonix. The template is the same whonix-ws-15. I tried to create anon-whonix through salt or directly from the Qube Manager with Create a new qube, but still the same issue. Any idea how to solve this? -- Kind regards taran1s gpg: 12DDA1FE5FB39C110F3D1FD5A664B90BD3BE59B3 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group. [qubes-users] Firewall issue
When I go into any qube settings for the firewall there is only an option to create and edit rules for outgoing traffic, nothing at all for incoming connections. Is that right? When I look at screenshots online it shows options for creating both outgoing and incoming connection rules. [qubes-users] Boot Menu disappeared after 2-nd Qubes installation. Need Help!
Hi everyone, need any help, because I am stuck. Today I got my External SSD and *I installed the 2-nd Qubes OS* on this Drive (the first one was been installed on my internal Laptop drive. But to my surprise, when I *tried to load my first Qubes OS*, I couldn't. In BIOS my drive is visible like working device, but *in Boot Menu it does not exist anymore*. So like in Manual - https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/uefi-troubleshooting/#accessing-installer-rescue-mode-on-uefi I tried to go into the Rescue mode and successfully put my LUKS passphrase, but I got Error message: *You Don't have any Linux partitions.* (and it seems ok for developers, that Anaconda Rescue is broken - https://github.com/QubesOS/qubes-issues/issues/5609, they tell that it is about security reason) Also I checked this Partition via Live USB Fedora, so main partition is working with my files. *But now I don't know hot to create new Boot Menu, anybody know how to do that?* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group. BTW the patches are already applied in the Qubes 4.1 repository; I don't want to imply you have to do that manually. And a 4.1 alpha may be coming really soon. But getting Qubes 4.0 working on Ryzen 4000 appears unlikely. But a Ryzen 3000 is a relatively safe bet? I would say the evidence is scant, except that someone with a Ryzen 3000 laptop had problems that sounded a lot like the Ryzen 4000 problems. Personally, I think Ryzen 4000 is compelling enough to go through the trouble of building a Qubes 4.1 installer (and then fixing the installer's mistakes). Well perhaps I will hurry up and wait :) I likely wont get around to my new build until after the new year, and while I am looking to upgrade (2012 i5 currently) I am not in a super hurry and not bent on getting the 4000 necessarily, was ready to settle for the 3000 (though sounds like qubes isnt quite ready for either).
