[qubes-users] Jupyter notebook
Hi, Has anyone tried installing jupyter notebook on qubes debian template or fedora? I Installed the pip3 and tried installing via the command sudo apt-get install build-essential python3-all python3-pip libncurses5-dev libncursesw5-dev libzmq3-dev # Installs all the above successfully sudo pip3 install --upgrade pip # Getting the error for pip3, I guess something to do with the connection. sudo pip3 install jupyter # Same error as above I got an error that said TypeError: unsupported operand type(s) for -=: 'Retry' and 'int' I Successfully installed it on my debain 9 machine. But haven't had the luck yet on Qubes debian 9 template. Has anyone installed jupyter notebook? [qubes-users] debian-8 template broken after update
Hello, I just now tried updating the debian 8 template - The update asked permission to restart automatically - The update abruptly stopped after that - The template vm just status indicator went to yellow for a long long time - I shutdown the vm and tried starting it up back again but says cannot start guid. - During the update there were around 144 updates, 43 to be removed and 1 upgrade - I went through some articles which suggest going to template vm terminal through dom0, and upgrading it from there. But that did not work. Any suggestions as to what went wrong. I am on my xps 15 9560, and on unstable repository. Any help would be much appreciated. [qubes-users] No disk visible in Qubes installation.
Hi, I am a fairly new linux user and so far have been using ubuntu and debian8. Trying to install Qubes 3.2 in my xps 15 9560. I used a usb to write the iso using Rufus and I could pretty much get to point where I had to select the device(internal storage) to install the os on. I had made a partion of my disk. But it so happens that there are no disks listed to select. Can anyone please help me with this. Also I was wondering if the SATA needs to be in AHCI instead of RAID like it is now. I got a new laptop for Qubes, do not want to give it back disappointed. New to this group, so if there is any mistake or if I did not follow a certain code in here please excuse me and let me know what I can do.
