Apparently I have the same problem downloading Ubuntu, so this is a problem
with my Qubes. Should I reinstall it? Does Qubes usually have this problem with
HVMs?

I believe I found the line to change the video drivers. When I change the
“model type” from xen to cirrus, and save the file, it works. But when I try to
start the VM with the newly modified file, it doesn’t work. I get the same
“libxenlight internal error”.

I’ll probably only reinstall the hypervisor as a last resort, since I believe
there is a different solution. I don’t exactly understand the solution though.
