Hi Folks!
I have this Soundfont - its name is SGM and its version is 2.1. I could upload
it wherever it is comfortable for you. Some guys have already reported me that
SGM vanished from internet so we could renew its presence.
Another hint is using this SF2 with QWS. let me describe rather
you know I must say I prefer vst synths over soundfonts, but they too have
their place. I'm quite partial to one particular soundfont. it's not a gm
font, so it probably wouldn't work under any program used just for midis.
its' a fon put out by our verry own andre louis. It's 227 megs of
You know I was getting tired of seeing newby with a couple of questions, and
soundfonts and such as thread names, so I gave us something new. also, I
mentioned vst synths in my previous message. Yes, there are ways of making
them work with qws. ahem, midi yoke, and vsthost anyone? There are
Hi Folks,
Yes, I am listening to the discussions - the list hasn't been this busy in a
long time.
Unfortunately, I cannot offer any advice why the MS wavetable synth isn't
working. QWS uses the standard Windows function call to open MIDI ports.
The typical reason why they don't open is if

I know. that's what I've been looking for, thus far w/o success.
Johnny, please again open HighjackThis, but, instead of scan save a
log file, please tab to the misc tools section, open that
Hi, wow, when I get it, I'll put it on a permanent sendspace page here along
with a couple of others I have.
I think most of the ones I have are pretty easy to obtain but they'll be in
1 place anyhow and I'll send links to the list when i get it done, might be
a while though, this week and next
Hi, np as I say when I do I'll put it up so everyone can have it, i don't
have anything to prove whether at the apparent expense of others or not,
never thought of looking for it as a torrent though I must admit.
Cheers!

Hi, thanks much, I actually don't need a software synth I was just trying to
locate the gsm sound font mentioned below, as I've not seen it before and
enjoy playing with soundfonts, ,smile.
Thanks heaps though, I always enjoy your posts, smile.

Hi Paul!
Yes, i'd like to upload for everybody of QWS list this SGM v2.01 and another
SF2 called JClive which is rather rare too. Please, folks, point me the website
where i could do it and which is propper for your downloads.
The way of making Audio with XMPlay MIDI.dll is really very handy and
I have the actual sgm file, if anyone wants me to put it on drpobox for a
while, I can.

what is sgm?
the font itself is not much use to me but any music made with it
probably is as long as its in pure audio though.
I have the actual sgm file, if anyone wants me to put it on drpobox
for a while, I can.

Hi,
Just wondering if a new version of QWS is in the works, and what new features
it might have. we haven't seen an update for a little while.
I'm pretty sure I have it floating around somewhere. Will upload to db if
anyone wants it.

Hi,
I decided to upload the most wanted soundfonts to dropbox, so that they can
be found, and an argument like the one we had yesterday doesn't get started
like that again.
Problem is, Dropbox is being strange, for some reason sgm and JClive
instantly said that the uploading had finished right
this is a reply to an earlier message. Ray. The yamaha synth does indeed
work under both windows vista and 7. I've seen people use it myself, though
not having vista is a good thing for me. but that's a whole nother topic

Hmm, send that at me if you don't mind. Also, dropbox hashes every file
uploaded to it, so if one user uploads a file and it's still in their
dropbox, it'll recognize the duplicate file and not make you reupload.
