The option to paste as unformatted text would indeed be welcome. Until that
happens, one option is to paste the text in a text editor like TextWrangler
(not TextEdit), copy it from there again and into the R code editor.

importing the data in R.
Also - SPSS/PASW supports ranged missing values, but these doesn´t seem to
be recognized when importing data with the read.spss-function.
