[Radiant] Any Webfaction Radiant users?

2008-06-30 Thread Arik Jones
I currently host my RadiantCMS instances at Webfaction and the
experience has been quite wonderful. However, it could be even better if
Webfaction had an install script that set it up for you. The folks at
webfaction would love to create an install script if enough people ask
for it. Or better yet, someone could create one (their API is pretty
simple, thinking about doing it myself).

If you host at Webfaction, then by all means request it in a ticket or
in the forum. Thanks.

I also host radiant at webfaction. It works wonderfully. An install script
would be nice though.
It wouldn't be to hard to modify another install script.

Looks nice. I've been frustrated by strange parsing bugs, but
never looked into it. A more accurate implementation of the syntax
gets a warm welcome from me.

If you happen to have samples handy of the Markdown that caused
trouble I'd be happy to add them to the test page.

...one particular problem I'm having is that **bold** should be
formatted as strongbold/strong but BlueCloth parses it as
*strongbold/strong*...

It was actually **12** being parsed as em*12*/em that drove me to
plugging in RDiscount. Now I've started documenting the deficiencies
in the RDiscount version on the github wiki. I think they're
insignificant so far, since there is nothing that will ever get you
called by a client irritated about their CMS; unless your clients do
crazy nested divs in their Markdown :)

For what it's worth the Safari Web Inspector reports 10 HTML errors on
the BlueCloth version of the test page, while it reports 1 on the
RDiscount version (in the Advanced Inline HTML test which Markdown.pl
itself would fail).

[Radiant] Help with Radiant Gallery

2008-06-30 Thread Alfredo Perez
Hi

I was wondering if there is anybody who can
point me to the right direction.

I havent been able to upload pictures to my
server where radiant gallery is installed.

There are instructions on how to import files by creating an import folder.

My question is:

Where in the server should I create this folder?

Thanks in advance

This happened too me when I used the gallery. The problem for me was
that I didn't have the RMagick installed on my server. Might check
that.

You should create it under the public/galleries folder.
Let me know if everything work.

Re: [Radiant] radiant + exception_notification plugin

2008-06-30 Thread Michael Hale
Hi Thanks for the help. I tried installing the pastie as you
suggested, but it doesn't fix the issue I am having.

Upon further inspection it seems that all that the code does is
include ExceptionNotifierHelper in ExceptionNotifier. I guess I don't
understand how that will add exception_notification/views to the
views_path.

 Hi Michael,

I've run into the same problem, and solved it by adding a small mixin that
 overrides a method in ExceptionNotifier:

 http://pastie.org/223988

Put this code in a file in lib and make sure to include it and mix it in in
environment.rb or in an extension class:

 ::ExceptionNotifier.send :include, ExceptionNotifierExt

 Cheers,

I tried to import it but nothing happened.

I also made sure rmagick was install on my ubuntu system

I issue command: sudo gem install rmagick and it was successfull

Is there anyother thing I could do?
