Dear all,
My Radiator
log isoften showing the entries like below. I also have verified that
there is the Reverse mapping for all the IP pools that users get while they get
connected to the NAS.
Even for that
NAS IP, there is Reverse DNS entry.
Because of
it, I guess my radiator
Hello Binaya -
The problem is that you do not have a Client clause in your Radiator configuration file for the device at IP address 202.52.241.1 (or something similar). You will need to check a copy of the configuration file against a trace 4 debug showing what is happening.

Hello Wesley -
If the SQL database access times out, Radiator by default will wait 10
minutes before trying again.
You can adjust the Timeout and FailureBackoffTime parameters in the
AuthBy SQL clause.
See sections 6.28.4 and 6.28.5 in the Radiator 3.6 reference manual.

Hi

Thanks for the

the need to configure new RAS client in the Radiator but at my Radius Host i
still need to add the RAS client on it, I wasn't thinking if the Radiator can

Hello Mary Grace -
The first thing to do is to build the tables in the SQL database.
For Microsoft-SQL you should use the administrative tools provided with
the software to first of all create the database, then use the SQL
utility to run the contents of the file goodies/sybaseCreate.sql. You

Hi All,
Is it possible to have wildcards in
handlers?
I would like to have a situation where a handler
'handles' everything for a particular domain level regardles of its
subdomains.
For example...

This would handle actions for [EMAIL PROTECTED]as well as
Hello Brian -
You can do something like this:
Handler User-Name = /foo.com.au$/>
/Handler>
BTW - as always you should test thoroughly to verify correct operation.

Thanks Hugh,
It works exactly as desired.
For reference I used Handler
Realm=/foo.com.au$/ and it works correctly.
I opted against using Handler
Username=/foo.com.au$/ as some users log in without a realm and the
(default realm) client clause adds it for them.
Thanks again,
Brian Morris

I've set up my AcctSQLStatement to look like this:

Hi Hugh,
You should try the queries by hand to see what is happening.
Upon further investigation, it appears as though the '@' in the username is causing
the problem:
Success without '@'

No it shouldn't stop/freeze the process (except that Radiator will stop
during the Timeout period).

Hello Michael -
The problem is due to the incorrect quoting of the string containing
the @ sign.
In most clauses based on SQL, %0 can be used for the username string
and it will always be correctly quoted.

Dear Hugh,
That NAS was
present earlier and it no longer exists. So we had removed its entry from the
cfg file ( and also reloaded the cfg file) . Still the error
appears.

Hello Binaya -
I don't know what else you are doing in your configuration file, but it may be that you have stale entries in your session database that contain this IP address?
