Well looks like the radio it is then.
I have never used mysqueezebox.com or the alarm, and I have my NAS on

What is synchronisation like? I would like to sync with my SB classic
as they'll be quite close together.
Sync between my classic and boom works fine.

It works, but the Radio has a strange habit of randomly going silent
when synced.
Not all of the kinks have not been worked out

Do you mean it goes silent and doesn't come back on?
When I sync at the moment, all my SBs go off for a second or two and
then come back
Sorry to bump my own thread, but please could someone with appropriate
permissions confirm this bug on Bugzilla?
This is a very clear fault in the way the radio decides its regulatory
domain and -will- mean that, for some users, their Radio simply will
not connect to their router when they bring

No, it just randomly goes silent after some minutes or hours of playing
music. All of the other Squeezeboxes that
I like the Radio so much I just bought a second one. :) Syncronisation
works just fine btw (for me at least). I tried it with two Radios, one

I've just bought one of these for my wife but she's complaining that it
keeps switching itself off during the day (reverting to a digital clock
display). It's only being used for internet radio gvia MYSB and this
happens on various stations. I am assuming that it does this when

Any chance to run the Radio for a couple days without the Home Plugs to
eliminate them as the potential issue?

There is a solution, although until fixed by Logitech it requires you
to SSH into your Radio. Solution is here:
Add the battery to the Radio - I've spent several Saturdays lately
working in the yard, with my Radio nearby, on batteries, using MusicIP
to keep the music coming. The Radio is usually next to my bed, but
being able to unplug it and take it anywhere in the house is great.

I have a SB classic and a Boom and love both of them. I bought the
Radio thinking it would be a perfect bedside alarm clock-- and I was
really attracted to the display and candy-apple-red body. And in my
mind-- when you call something a radio, and make it compact and
aesthetic, its intended use

Hi,
I am not sure if this is the correct place to put a feature request,
but here it goes.
I would like to be able to turn off the auto-toggling of the on-board
speaker if the Squeezebox Radio detects something was plugged into the
3.5mm headphone jack.
Basically I would like to hookup a
I have every sort of SB since SB3. I just added two Radios in the last
month, both with batteries. One for taking out to the front porch at
home from its resting place in my wife's closet area (where she
listens in the morning) and one for the deck at the weekend place or on
the kitchen counter.

How about rewiring the power outlet? In many cases, a switched outlet

outlet box. If an unswitched wire is present in the outlet box, this
only takes a few minutes. If an unswitched wire is not present, an

I use my Radio alarm with mysqueezebox.com and it now seems to be very
reliable. A few firmware versions ago, there were issues, but I have
had no trouble for months now. If for some reason the network is having
issues, the back up alarm sound comes on very reliably.
