Just bumping this as it didn't get much of a response.
Any one with any clues as to what affects the speed of boot up?

Maybe the number of plugins etc have an effect?
Plugins are in SBS not radio so couldn't affect it but possibly Applets
(and 3rd party ones) could affect especially if they are set to
update/reinstall and new updates are available.
Also Radio has to communicate
The Radio has always been painfully slow to boot, AFAIK. It's been
mentioned in more than 'one review'

Several days ago I connected my Radio to MSB.com and found it needed a
fw update to 7.5.4. So I did as instructed. I also updated my SBS to
7.5.5. But when I later switched back to SBS. It showed me the Radio
should be updated again to 7.5.1! .
Typo? 7.5.1?
I have had a Boom for a long time and now bought a Radio for my bedroom
as my alarm clock.
Is there any complete documentation available for the alarm clock
function?
Specifically, what I need to do is:
1. set alarm
2. wake to alarm
3 hit snooze
4 turn alarm off BEFORE the snooze alarm

Seems like once snooze is set, there is no easy way to turn off the
alarm all together.
The only idea I have is disabling/reanabling the alarm to stop a
Snooze. And even then I'm not sure if it would work (but that's easy to
test).
I'm not aware of any official way to
I've the same problem only with one station: France Info. It's happen
since 3-4 days, before all was ok. I've a Sqeezebox Boom directly
connected with my wifi routeur. I can hear all others stations
normally, not France Info. Any ideas?

According to the code in AlarmSnoozeApplet.lua, pressing the Power
button should cancel the alarm including the snooze:
===
function notify_playerPower(self, player, power)
if not player then
return
end
if player
This is just when the alarm is actually ringing to turn the alarm off
(so that people don't need to operate the menu to turn the alarm off)
A shortcut for Snooze is pressing the volume button by the way (also an
undocumented feature).
