Yes, thank you, I agree, there is a variety of things you can do with
the Squeezes. Oh, and I forgot to mention this community as another
benefit.

Do you mean after confirming that there is nothing worth watching on
TV, that it is too wet outside to go for a walk, and that there is no
news worthy of attention ?
Well then, sometimes I find myself using it to listen

Yes, looks like my little boy has already shown an interest in getting
one for his birthday after a demo of streaming children's audio books
to him!
Very impressive piece of kit, and yes I do like the look of the touch
for myself too!
Cheers Ikabob,
Will.

Keep an eye out for offers; sometimes they are hinted on this forum.
Seems that 99.99£ is the lowest at the moment

Thanks very much everyone for your opinions.
In view of what everyone said I decided to buy the limited edition
sqeezebox radio in white. Had it for 2 days so far, and I must say that
I'm very pleased. No problems encoutered yet!
Thanks again, brilliant device. Now I'd like to invest in a NAS a
Save up some more £££ and get a radio in a couple of months, a wireless
speaker cheaper than this would not sound very good ,imho it would
sound so bad that you wonder why you wasted all that money in the first
place even if it was cheap.

Is there a pc in one of the rooms? If so, you could install one of the
software players, such as SqueezePlay, and use the pc like a
Squeezebox. You can sync it to the Radio, although sync'ing with
software players is rarely perfect. If the rooms are far enough apart
then it shouldn't matter, but i
Batteries and moving the radio won't work - we need another speaker so
my partner and I can both listen to the same thing in different rooms
at the same time (without having the radio so loud it annoys the
neighbours).
Cheapest I've found a Squeezebox radio for in UK is £99.99, so we can't
afford
Maybe a battery for your Radio so you can easily move it about as
needed?

For a little more just buy a second Radio, all kinds of benefits...
- Sync'd audio
- control playback source from both locations (both Radio's)
- familiar interface
There are always cheaper alternatives, but at what price in headaches
and problems and interface?

Thanks for the replies. Plugging a jack into the headphone socket cuts
the radio's speaker out, and I was hoping a wireless speaker would be
cheaper than buying a second radio.
One question: does the SBR have Bluetooth capability? If so, one of

As suggested, just get another Radio. ;)
Wireless speakers are notoriously glitch
Why not just get another radio ? They can be syncronised or play as
induvidiuals .
If your notnrunning a local server mysqueezebox.com would be able to
sync them for you.

Hi there,
We have a Squeezebox Radio in our conservatory and would like a
wireless speaker in the kitchen to hear the radio in another room. I
know the SBR can work as a wireless speaker for another Squeezebox, but
is there a way for another speaker to wirelessly listen to the SBR?
What product
Stranger than fiction, then!

During initial set up of my SBR at Christmas, I set the alarm for every
weekday but not for the weekend and to use the CASCADE sound with
increasing volume. This has been working perfectly until last Monday
morning when the radio came on at alarm time LOUD and both in my
earphones and the loudspea
You do realise that presets are STATIC? This means that if the stored
stream link is changed then the preset will stop working. In this
instance, you are lucky that the stored link has become active again.
If a link changes permanently, then you have to reassign the preset.

Well, there's another SBR mystery! An hour ago, I was still getting the
same message as described in my first post on this subject. I've just
gone to the radio and pressed the preset for TalkSport and it's working
again. I've changed absolutely nothing so there evidently was some
communication pat
