Sorry to disappoint you, but there is no 7.8 Firmware for the Radio
(afaik the latest one is 7.7.2 r9663).
But it works just fine with LMS 7.8 :)

As mentioned above it used to VERY easy to accidentally turn off the
alarm before (instead of snoozing). I thus think it to be a very

Yup, running a full SBS has its advantages (like rock solid alarms,
support for plugins etc). :) But having a place (NAS e.g.) for current
backups is also a very nice thing to have. ;)

I would suggest resetting the Radio via the + button (by pressing it
before turning the radio on and continuing to do so until startup is
completed). Afterwards it should ask you if you would like to use a
different mysb.com account during setup. :)

I like the Radio so much I just bought a second one. :) Syncronisation
works just fine btw (for me at least). I tried it with two Radios, one

Imho it greatly depends on whether ones uses mysb.com or has set up a
SBS. SBS usually runs fine (my Radio has not missed an alarm in a very
long time - I do have a very stable, hardwired network, though). :)

Yup, both Radio and Boom are rightfully renowned for their excellent
audio quality (as are all SBs btw). Also the Squeezebox ecosystem is
quite open, so there are lots of excellent 3rd party apps and plug-ins.
Its only significant caveat is mysb.com - for some people at least.

I agree with bluegaspode. When I was looking for a internet radio to
replace my failing Radioclock, I tried lots of different brands but the
only one to deliver the goods (for me) was the SB Radio. All other are
much worse imho.

Well, I do think they are willing to work on it (they might even be
working on it right now) but a complete redesign would most probably
take quite a lot of work to do properly, so I would not expect a
solution to the alarm woes very soon.

I was leaving early today and forgot to disable the alarm today. The
backup alarm was still active when I got home about 15h later. 7.4.3
definitively does NOT timeout the backup alarm after 60min! :mad:

- How is your SB Radio connected (mysquezzebox.com.com or local
SBS-server)?
Logs may (usually) be found in the /var/log/ directory using the
Radio's built-in SSH access.
