Toby - IP address assignment is handled by DHCP. The DHCP server does
not show another device with the same IP address, and when the radio is
off I cannot ping that IP address (telling me that nothing else on the
network is using that IP, either). The slowdown of the radio tells me
it's a problem
I have two squeezebox radios and a duet with controller. In my setup I
have the duet receiver and one of the radios connected via ethernet and
everything works as expected. I have the duet controller connected via
wifi, and that works as expected. However, I cannot get either radio to
stay
I've only ever run WPA2+AES, never had a problem.
FYI: The Radio (and all SB players) do remember the passphrase for
each encryption type so it is relatively easy to switch between types
of encryption.

meant for players with audio outs to a stereo or self powered speakers.

I think there are other reports of radio-homehub issues - not other wifi
devices. At any one moment I have about 4 or 5 other devices on wifi -
no issues.

radio used in the SB Radio is a very good one. It is the device that
sits the furthest away from my Access Point but it has the best signal
strength of all SB

So I followed Pascal's advice and separated static and DHCP range, gave
all wifi devices nice fixed addresses and monitored. Radio dropped out
as did new laptop that was adjacent to the radio monitoring the wifi
traffic coinciding with when the bizarre trace started as shown on this
picture.
UPDATE
So...I reset to factory my router and the radio, reinstalled the latest
radio firmware again and incredibly the radio has behaved impeccably now
for around 60 hours or so. It streams, it turns on/off, it connects to
LMS when my server is turned on and happily sits there when server is
