I tried to load the applet using Logitech Media Server 7.7.1 to hear music out of the speaker and the headphone socket. But it seams like LMS doesn't load the plugin (think it's too old). Is there a way to get this fixed? Thanks in advance. -- culPa

You need to enable that on the Controller itself. On the Controller go to Settings Advanced Beta Features. I don't own a Duet but I'm pretty sure it is in that Beta menu. -- toby10 toby10's Profile:

Full power cycles on PC, receiver, and controller, followed by factory reset, re-install of the app, and toggling settings on has solved the problem for now. The controller appeared on the web interface, I selected it and then synced it with the receiver. Thanks garym for your kind response,

The alarm clock changes output assignments. If the Radio thinks you have headphones in the jack (which is also the case for speakers of course ) ), it routes the alarm sound through its internal speaker, to people wake up. When the alarm is finished it puts the audio back to the headphone jack.

Does it help to just turn the volume down on the sub (or turning it off, but keeping the jack plug in)? If so, that may mean you've got a 'phase problem' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subwoofer#Phase_control). That's an inherent downside to not having an 'active filter'

I had the same problem. The bit I missed was that the folder name was incorrect. It should be named headphones. i.e. /usr/share/jive/applets/Headphones Try that and do a restart. As with all disclaimers... do this at your own risk as I cannot guarantee this method other than testing it to
