Jan,
That seems to have done the trick. The R:Base screen is suppressed and both
forms are accessible.
Thanks for the help.

I know what want to do is possible. I do know that for a client I created
what you are trying to do. But I also believe
individually.
Hope that makes sense.

Albert,
You may be on to something. Hope to have a few minutes to try it out yet
today. Have to figure out where to place it so it works.

Jan,
Thanks for the idea. I've tried several versions of this (and now your
version). Each time, as soon as the second form is not MDI it makes it so that
I cannot use/make entries in the MDI form as the focus remains on the non MDI
form until it is closed.

David,
Try moving the second Edit Using pendingjobs ... into the first form,
dispatchjobs as an On After Start EEP.
Good luck,

Razzak,
Thank you for the quick answer. What you suggest is what I have done. The
only difference is that the second for I open is also MDI. If I open the
second without it being MDI, I can't move back
PROPERTY RBASE_FORM STAY_ON_TOP ‘ON'
This is an MDI form property. I think if you do the two forms with this the
main window will stay behind them. It’s worth a try anyway.

Razzak,
Thank you for the quick answer. What you suggest is what I have done. The
only difference is that the second for I open is also MDI. If I open the
second without it being MDI, I can't move back and forth between the two forms,
I can only access the second form that is opened.
David
Have you looked at RHide and RShow commands.

David,
Here is a very simple approach ...
01. Create a command file, such as, MyApplication.DAT, that include
all your database CONNECT statement and then EDIT USING formname , etc.
-- Example
-- MyApplication.DAT
CONNECT dbname
CLS
EDIT USING formname1 MDI
EDIT
17 matches
