Thanks for the heads up. I've been eye-balling that one and wondering if I
should settle for the next best thing. The real next best thing is probably
a Homer-Hilsen in a 69 frame.
Decisions...decisions.

I owned one of the first Atlantis, had it built by Rivendell, and sent
Rivendell a TA Cyclotouriste triple crank for the build. Rivendell
called me and told me the crank would not fit, and installed one of
the Mavic cranks Rivendell sold at the time. The Mavic crank needed a

The frame sure looks like a winner, especially with proof documenting
JBs + fenders. I may have to eventually experiment with those brakes
on my Rambouillet.
I'm looking forward to seeing the frame in other colors like British
Racing Green with cream accents.

With my All-Rounder, which has similar clearances as the Atlantis
(but mine is for 26 wheels despite being a 60 cm frame, being 13
years old), the most difficult problem to overcome was not the cranks
hitting the frame but the chainrings. The chain stays angle out
sharply from the BB and
Mike,
If you try out the brakes on your Rambouillet please let us know how
it works. I've wanted to run JBs on my Ram.

Folding Pasela with tourguard in 32, 35 or 37. My absolute favorites

Hi Ray, for my commute in san francisco and local trails in the marin
headlands I've been using jack brown blues on my romulus and jack
brown greens on my quickbeam, although I don't take my QB on the
trails as often as the romulus. Even though the jack browns lack any

I have those brakes with JBs on my Ram. I love them but I worry about
tire to fender clearance with my VO fenders. The clearance is so
tight that I have to deflate the rear tire to get the wheel on and off
with the fenders on. Without the fenders it rides like a dream and
looks much better

There is no free lunch in bicycle frame design, and every benefit (in this

Unless you dent the chainstays. I had a steel Diamond back that took 60 mm

I have a deposit down on a Roadeo. When I get it I'll post some
thoughts. It will complement my custom all rounder nicely.

Thanks, Clive. I actually have read your excellent trip report in the past.
Very interesting and informative. I enjoyed it very much.

Thanks, Brett. I also have ridden the Blues on my Atlantis, and I like them a
lot. I would not have aproblem mounting them on the QB, but I would spin out
with them on those steeper sections of the fire trails. It's probably me more
than the tires. I am by no stretch a mountain biker.
Thanks,
Saw a beautiful Atlantis cruise by on the Rillito Bike path on

in Tucson, though I never see more than 2 at the same time.
Cheers!

a road wheel with an ultegra hub should be 130mm, right? The atlantis
is spaced like everything else rivendell makes which is 132.5

according to the geometry chart for the atlantis, the rear spacing is 135.

but just to be sure if rivendell has changed the specs, you can call them.
