The cliffhanger is one of the widest rims around at 28mm outside width. I would not ride anything narrower than a 32mm tire on a rim that wide. Since it's only available in 26 in. rims that would equate to a 1.25 wide tire. I don't have any bikes in that size but I think there are not many
