Sorry to bring this up, but I have 996 miles on my Roadeo this year. We are
having a low rain year and its a good time for cyclists to take advantage.
By the end of this year, I will have close to 12,000 miles on my Roadeo.
Its the most enjoyable bike that I have owned.

It's great that the new axle will fit into my existing hub. This will be my
next bike project/upgrade. Even the M6s, if not quite as good as a QR, will

I have mixed feelings about the Pletscher 2-legger. It's definitely more
stable than a 1-legger but both my wife and I tend to put too much
confidence in it, and both of our bikes (Hilsen and Betty) have fallen over
several times while on the stand. I understand the falling over when it's
Headwind, schmeadwind. It's a gusty crosswind that will send you to the
pavement.
I wouldn't cross any of the bridges that cross the Columbia River with that
contraption.

I saw a Kogswell with moustache bars locked up in NYC last week. Park
Ave and 33rd, maybe? Made me feel good. I saw a couple of other Rivish

It's a standard size. I forget what it is though. Just take the long bolt
to the hardware store. They'll be able to ID the diameter and thread pitch.
Buy the shortest one they have. Get stainless or plated to minimize
oxidation. Get a washer too if you don't already have one.
