How did you loose the cage?? The bottle is kept so tight in the cage I've
got to really yank it to get it out, so I don't think strips are needed for
that reason. Did your cage screws back out and the whole thing fell off?

I have had a couple setups where the 4 tooth spread with the Dingle cog was
matched by a 4 tooth spread in the rings, so the axle position stays almost
the same in high gear and low gear. Mostly that was for my OCD (and fender

The Quickbeam as shipped had an 8 tooth spread in the rings

Why are decaleurs specific to pearl technomic stems? Don't they have the

Bobby,
I too was somewhat frustrated by the precision of several of the methods.
The less precise method I use that works fine is an inverted one (I was ok
with the method in the aeropress instructions but it uses a lot of coffee
beans).
I invert the areopress put the plunger at about the 2;
Berthoud also makes their decaleur mount for threadless and vertical bolts

Horses for courses. I like the VO headset-mounted decaleur because it
works for me and it's *cheap*. I've *never *had a bag come off, but then I
use the rack's tombstone as well. But the adjustment *is *very limited; if
