Black 31.8 flared drops in either 52 or 58 at the ends. Hoods are much
narrower. I like the 58. I got a 52 at a great price from Analog, and
Candace said “you probably won’t like it if you’re over 5’2”. She was
right, at least with the Ritchey Force stem on the RoadLite. I swapped for
a 58 and
Dos Eno and GRX crankset are spoken for. Everything else still up for grabs!

Thank you again Bill for your insight on the two frames. I'll definitely
consider your thoughts as I look more carefully into this.

Hey Tim,
I love the aesthetic of the double-top tube, but the functionality of
stiffening the bike with a little bit of a load is also appealing.

Oh, that Clem is WAY longer. Platy is 47.25 inch WB, Clem is 52 I had to
get a really short-reach stem to make the Clem fit me right. (I think there’s a
thread called Stem Chronicles or something like that...)The Clem doesn’t turn
like the Platy does, but it is luxurious and wonderful. I

[Sorry, forgot your name] -- thanks very much for the offers. I'd prefer
the Ahearn/Map bar if it's black and 31.8, so would be interested indeed in
knowing specs and your price. In fact, the A/M bar looks like just the
right "upright" bar to try for this bike.
Yes, narrowing the bar reduces
Hey!
Thanks! I’d say for something small like that, it’d be pretty easy. You can
thin it slightly with mineral spirits, or just use it out of the can. It is
oil based so you need to use a small brush made for that and clean it with
mineral spirits right after, otherwise the brush will be ruined.
What about the Clem L feels longer than the Platy? Does it seem like you
have to reach further to get to the bars on the Clem L? I am looking for a
step through for my wife and trying to figure out the best sizing for her
since she has longer arms. Thanks!

I'm also stopping by to comment on the workbench. Wow, what a cool piece!
The bike looks fantastic, too; the proportions are just right.

In addition, I am looking for a pair of Medium rain pants like these, let
me know if you have some you'd sell (or trade).
Thanks,

I also have some Ahern MAP bars which I am not attached to, as well as
possibly a couple others, but I am somewhat perplexed, because with just
about any bar you go with narrowing it substantially will in turn leave you
with minimal bar area for bells and such.
After years of accumulating stuff
I've got a SOMA Eagle bar I'm not using: not sure if it would work for you
or not
They don't presently make these: my impression was that they were reworking
the design and maybe coming out with a replacement.

Well, found a step thru but it’s not a Clem L and it’s not mustard. Roscoe Bebe
baby bike on its way. Still interested in a 59 Clem L mustard in case anyone
sees this and is looking to sell one.

Nice example, Gabe. If it was a Medium (52cm) L, I'd be callin'! :-)

Ben,
That's an interesting question: To "With my butt on the saddle I can get
my tippy toes of one foot to touch the ground." You replied: "Shouldn't
this be true of any bike, regardless of standover height?"
Imagine a very steep seat tube angle - saddle almost directly above the

Like the one in the link (but black and 31.8). I would (to repeat) like a
black one with 31.8 clamp area.
Thanks.

I consider the 60 Sam pretty darn close to a 64 MUSA Atlantis. I imagine
the stack and reach numbers would be extremely close to one another. You'd
have to figure out the appropriate geo charts and make that call. I think
of the 60 Sam as a definite "XL". Not an "XXL", but definitely an

Karl, check out ESI grips in aqua. I have some in the 6.75" length I'm
going to put on my Atlantis. Seems most shops, even online, only have the
long grips in black. If you order from ESI you can get them in colors.

All of the parts were added/built onto the bike at the same time and were
bought new. Tires have lots of life left.

I agree with @aeroperf: I always thought it was too hard to find the bikes!
When you click the three bar menu, "Bicycles and Frames" are at the top:
good!
Now how would you look at the bikes? You have to click on that, read all of
the descriptions, and then wade through a bunch of pictures:
