Patrick, I know where 3 of mine are, a Road and my Custom. My AR went to an
iBob in upstate NY. The rest, well it was a long time ago, I did sell the twine
to my Bleriot on eBay in about 30 minutes, the rest are someplace. I think if I
had ordered the Saluki in 54, no 56 it would still be with
This is why Justin's measurements were so helpful. In my experience window
shopping ARs over the last 27 years, the sizing tends to shift around a bit
from batch to batch. Plus I think some were custom-ordered to fit the
buyer.

Hello all,
I have a few things that could go to a new home. I’m open to trade offers for a
set of Paul Motolite Brakes, +/- levers. Prices do not include shipping.
Sugino PX cranks 50.4 bcd, 170mm, GC. $150
Microshift 10s front and rear derailleur set, silver, VGC. $80
Phil Wood track hub set
I attached the original geometry chart above. I do agree that it does seem
to have a shorter TT than the standard AR 55cm geometry.

Looks like 55cm square to me. Does anybody have the original geometry chart
handy to confirm this was an AR size? This looks like the shorter-TT
version for drops or Moustache. This is SUCH a nice bike!

Thanks. Even though I did sell (or trade, rather) the bike, it was a
pretty one indeed. Frame is 58 cm c-c.
Yes 26" or 559 bead seat diameter wheels, with 26 X 1.35" Kojaks. The
stays were about 45 cm long, certainly long for a road bike, which
this was. Very nice handling.
Long ago, someone saw
I believed you before, not a bike he acquired at a bike shop.

This guy looked to be about 5’9” and the frame must’ve been a 65 cm. He rode
it with 1 foot on the pedal and the other dragging on the ground to slow him
down. There was a can of Coca-Cola rattling around in an expensive titanium
water bottle cage. bars were adjusted in a way that could not
Not the kind of bike you just buy without knowing about it. As far as fit,
Grant always used to say ride the biggest frame you can ;)

Patrick, very nice. I am assuming these are 26” wheels, I know you used to
and still might favor them. On a large frame it makes it look like today’s
long chain stays.

If you are into folding bikes or recumbents then Bikes at Vienna is nearby. The

Will's email from Friday renewed my interest in getting a Clem L. Does
anyone have intel on what the colors for the imminent frame drop and
subsequent completes will be? Would be amazing if they brought back the
mustard but I know that's highly unlikely

Might want to check out The Old Bike Shop in Alexandria. Used bikes galore
- mostly for the commuting crowd, but some nice vintage stuff from time to
time. I found/bought/traded for a Miayata 1000 there a while back. I think
they are closed Mon and Tue. I would call to be sure.
