A funky monkey could only be used if you changed to a 27.2 seatpost with the proper seat tube shim. The Roco has a 29.8 post. If the seat lug teardrop thingy didn't go so far down you could attach a 31.8mm front drop cable stop with either a curved or flexible noodle to adjust for the

Thanks, Dustin! It was already on the bike when I received it a few years back. It’s made of thick leather and I believe it to be from Velo Orange. I could be wrong though. I’ve come close to removing it a few times, but it adds some functional personality to the bike, so I’ve just left it.

You may not get many impartial views here? That’s the crankset that came on my Clem and it is one of my favorite things about the bike. Looks may be subjective but I think it looks great. The gearing has been ideal for me, rarely using the 28 & never spinning out (those days are likely gone).
