On Christmas Day, my Uncle, Cousin and myself decided to Ride Mount
Tamalpais from Fairfax to my Aunts House in Larkspur. They Both had Full
Suspension Marin Racing Mountain Bikes and I was on My Atlantis with
Fenders and a Medium Saddlesack with a 6 pack of Sierra. :-). A
few Mountain Bikers
I can say that I have bought 2 bikes(Sam and RB1) off of Michael and he is
a great guy to deal with and keeps very, very good care of his bikes. One
was so nice I made a 16 hour round trip from the Bay area to get it. :-)

Hi Y'all,
It was my Uncles 50th Birthday on Saturday so I took the opportunity to make
a mini trip out of it and headed out on Saturday morning and caught the
first Bart train to Embarcadero to start my Journey. The ride to Fairfax
was beautiful and I arrived a bit early so I decided to ride
last week while riding up to Mt Diablo on my usual half way up via roads and
then down via trails on my Atlantis w/Medium Saddle Bag 60 big apples, I
had a Crabon gentleman ask at the Ranger station.

I am heading out on a 4 night mini tour of Marin and surrounding areas. I'll
be taking Bart from Walnut Creek to SF and My plan is to stay at Samuel P
Taylor Saturday Night, then head up to Point Reyes for Sunday and Monday
nights and head down to Hawk Camp for Tuesday
It was a pleasure to meet everyone last night. It's a bummer I did not get to
ride up or down with everyone. That's what I get for doing and S240 in the
middle of my work week.

Hi Everyone
Selling my 56cm Canti 700c Sam Hillborne. After receiving my SimpleOne I
have decided that this is just a bit too small for me. I am the second owner
of this bike and it has been well taken care of and never abused. It does
have a few nicks from use but no dents or dings.

I was going to get a 60 but the guys talked me into a 62. I jumped at the
opportunity a year ago for this Sam and after riding the One for a few
months the sizing just feels right. a 60cm Sam just feels too big for some

Yes, That is a 22t White industries Freewheel. I would have been SOL
without it. When I hit the road at Rock City it was pretty smooth sailing
up. with a little grinding here and there.

When I originally saw Grants Post awhile back on the S240 he did to High
Rocky place, I knew I had to do it. I wanted a challenge and I wanted a
test, so I decided to do it on the SimpleOne. I am glad I did and it was an
awesome Solo Trip. Thank you Grant for the directions and words of advice

I Highly Suggest doing some riding in the Lafayette/Moraga Area. You have
some trails and big bike lanes everywhere. Lafayette has done a great job
marking all of the routes with Mileage markers and directional arrows.

+1 for the SimpleOne. It is a beautiful handling bike on and off road. I
just took mine on a nice trail ride on the foothills of Mt Diablo yesterday.
The bike was amazing off road and very, very comfortable. With the white
Industries 22T freewheel it was a dream off road and the Moustache bars
Don't know if any one has seen this but Rivendell was on the brooks blog a
few weeks back.

Great trip, looks like a successful S240. Did you take the trails up
to the top? Allot of hiking and Biking if you did. I did a similar
trip in January when the weather was so nice.
