I don't think this is necessarily happening to all the Berthoud saddles but
to a few of them. Otherwise we would have all heard of it by now. However,it
has happened to enough saddles for Mr. Berthoud to work out a fix and I'm
pretty sure, start working on an improved design for the frame or just

Hi all,
Thank you very much for all the responses and suggestions. I'm quite eager
to try the one about turning the saddle nose slightly in the direction of
the seat bone that bears more weight, which if I understood correctly would
be towards the left as that seems to be where the more pronounced
I don't have photos, but was able to easily use my Acorn Boxy Rando Bag with
the Moustache handlebars on the short time I had them on my Bombadil. Very
good setup!

Hi all,
To my utmost dismay, today I realized that my 3 month old Berthoud Touring
saddle is all twisted on the seat post on my Atlantis. Please check how it
looked in January when I installed it: *http://tinyurl.com/4mw79ms *and how
it looked yesterday: *http://tinyurl.com/4ea9qfe*.

I believe the same is accomplished by adding a leather mud guard to a
metal fender. I've done that on my Atlantis with Berthoud fenders and
I get excellent protection from splashes and also dirt and dust. My BB
shell now stays clean. The tradeoff is I cannot hop off curbs but
other than that, it's
Hi all,
Weight considerations aside, are there any real and perceivable by a
"normal" rider differences between the two versions? Does anyone have any
experience to tell if the Liteskin rides significantly plusher than the
regular one?
I'm interested in the feedback on both the 700c sizes (for Ri
The Acorn Boxy Rando Bag doesn't strap to the top of the bar. It's
lateral strings go to the bottom section of the drop on your drop bars
by the barend shifters. They work equally well with M bars. Not sure
about Albatross bars.

That is correct. No decaleur is needed. The straps to the handlebar
make it very stable.

Hi Gernot,
You are correct regarding the weight. It's for bike + rider + full
equipment load.
Have you tried and then rejected the recommended pressures or is it
that you've just always inflated to these different pressures?

Just in case you want to use that light on the Nitto Big Rear Rack, Peter
White sells the metal bracket that allows you to do it. That's what I use
for a similar light on my Atlantis with its currently Nitto R-14 rear rack.
Scroll down until you find it:

Glad it was!

FWIW, I run the same tires on Dyad rims with no looseness and no issues.

I like those panniers. What are they? The color touch is very nice too.

Hi all,
I know the Sugino crank set that Riv and VeloOrange sell comes in 24/34/46
and 26/36/48 configurations; I have the first one on the Atlantis and the
second one on the Homer. Do these cranks also take a more roadie 30/40/53 or
similar configuration? If so, which rings should I get and where
Khalid,
I remember how much I struggled to choose the color of my Atlantis, but here
is my story... :-)
When I went to Walnut Creek the very first time to see for myself what the
Rivendell concept was all about, they had me test ride a Homer, an Atlantis
and a Sam. I hated the Atlantis color on t
